The average faucet in a non-conserving American household uses 2.75 gallons of water per minute on full blast.

While upgrading to a more water efficient faucet - 1.25 gallons/minute - is encouraged, it may be a bit expensive.

This is why we strongly promote upgrading your faucet aerator with a low faucet aerator ($1.50 - $10).

An open hose can use on average of 12 gallons per minute of water.

By upgrading your hose with a water pressure regulating head, with multiple flow options, you can be saving a huge bundle.

These heads can cost from $2 to $12, but decrease your hose's water flow to 5 gallons per minute.

How are we planning to fix this issue? Through water efficient utilities.

Shorter showers are not necessarily the only way to cut down water use. Instead, you can switch to more water efficient utilities, such as shower heads. These shower heads use 2 gallons of water per minute, instead of the usual 2.5 and up shower heads.

By switching to these shower heads, you can reduce water use, without shortening
